I know we all want to look our best at all times and look as though we stepped out of a magazine. However most of us can't afford that kind of wardrobe, but can you?
Thrift store shopping has become popular among the twenty-somethings within the last few years.
I absolutely LOVE to thrift-store shop. The majority of my closet has been replaced with thrift store finds (and great ones at that!)
I know what you're asking, HOW do you find such good pieces?
I have a system. Different stores on different days, and you have to be willing to dig and spend time at it. It's hard work!
Stores I like to go to:
Salvation Army-Greensprings (Half of clothing on Wednesday)
Mission Possible-Greensprings and there is one in Irondale as well.
The Foundry- Bessemer. I find lots of good pieces here.
Lovelady Thrift Store- Irondale. No sales tax and very organized.
Other stores in the area:
Big Saver's- Hueytown/Bessemer. They have some good pieces, kind of pricey. There isn't a visible dressing room, however.
Goodwill-Greensprings. Clothes aren't priced. Slim choices. Kind of sketchy.
